Performances of "And It Begins Like This," an adaptation of LaTanya McQueen’s book by the same name, were present Oct. 23–26, 2019. Assistant Teaching Professor Naomi Baker adapted the book for the stage and directed the production.
LaTanya McQueen, author of Penn State Altoona's 2019-20 Common Read selection, "And It Begins Like This," will present "Getting to the Root: The Role of Personal Discovery in Creative Nonfiction," on Oct. 10 in the Slep Student Center.
Penn State Altoona hosted a panel discussion titled "The Science of Race" on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in the Slep Student Center. The discussion was part of Penn State Altoona's 2019-2020 Common Read program, focusing on the book And It Begins Like This by LaTanya McQueen.
The stage adaptation of LaTanya McQueen’s book by the same name will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23–25 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Paul R. and Margery Wolf Kuhn Theatre in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona.
