Todd D. Batzel received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Penn State, University Park, in 1984 and 2000, respectively, and an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. He is currently a professor of electrical engineering at Penn State Altoona. His research interests include electric machines, electric motor controls, power electronics, predictive diagnostics for electric machinery, artificial intelligence applications to control, and embedded control systems.
